I started my photography class on the 1st of this month. Yes, it's an online class and yes, it's not super sophisticated but it's fun and I'm enjoying the daily prompts and comments from fellow 'classmates'. :) Here are a few of the photos I've submitted so far....

Completed one more thing out of the 15 I have to do out of my 'folder'....#6...only 9 more to go. This project has taken a hit this month. Hoping to hit it hard starting in the new year. Just can't cram any more things into this already busy month!

A scarecrow from Manhattan! Note the Wildcat drawn on his tummy...all mine! I'm so very skilled, no? Gonna be working on carving a pumpkin and dressing up for Halloween this week! 2 things knocked off in a week! (Well, 3 including the flossing every day for a month. That ends on Sunday too)

Uno Moo (Game night #5)

One of the best kid's games out there...the kid's love to play (Liam b/c he gets it and it's fun, Lorelai b/c there are farm animals that she can stack and roll and hide) and I would recommend to anyone with little kid's for family game nights. :)

Been truckin' right along at the list...here's another craft. We're working on a scarecrow this week. Color, cut, and glue!

I'm also doing my 'floss every day for a month' this month. Not sure anyone wants a picture of that. Gross!

Learned to Sew....somewhat

Baked a cake from scratch

I made red velvet cupcakes from scratch last week for Dad's 61st bday celebration! I've never had red velvet before and they didn't taste like I thought they would....not bad, just not what I thought. Pretty good for my first attempt at cakes from scratch. :)

Date night #3

It was our 8th Anniversary on the 31st so Nana and Papa came over and watched the kiddos while we went to dinner at the Lob. Liam followed us to the door and told us he 'was NOT happy about us leaving!' Sorry kiddo...Momma's gotta do what Momma's gotta do!

I'm working on spelling the kid's names out with some of their special toys to put in frames. I thought this was a neat concept and went with it...we'll see how it turns out.

I made the lasagna. It was pretty tasty but needed more juices...I'll have to try it again some other time.

New recipe #3

Here's a photo of the triple chocolate cranberry oatmeal cookies we made about a week ago. Long recipe title, huh?

#3 Almost Meatless Sloppy Joes from Cooking Light...ours were meatless though b/c I used the soy crumbles instead of sirlion. Pretty tasty, though the kids didn't really like it. Imagine that. I really should take pictures of the new recipes...though this one, not all that pretty. :)

And the 'Playing in the Rain' happened rather sporadically so I didn't get any photos. We were at the park with Nana yesterday and all of a sudden it started to rain, we decided to play in it for a bit and splash in the puddles. Fun...for the kiddos. :)

Date Night #1

Had our 1st monthly date night on the 12th as well. Steve's boss had a party at his house and we were invited....had some drinks and fun with his co-workers! Hooray date night!

Shatto Farm Visit 6.12.10

Checking out the cows getting milked...and watching out for flying milk!

Completed the dairy visit this past weekend and it was alot of fun. We've sworn to only buy their milk from now on! And surprisingly, the banana flavor....not too bad. The kids had alot of fun and tasted and enjoyed all 5 flavors (chocolate, strawberry, orange cream, banana, and root beer). Mom, Dad, Manda, Sarah, and Aiden went with us out to Osborn, MO for the fun. Everyone should take this tour, if they have the chance! It was rainy but the tour was all indoors so that was nice....we had a picnic on their front porch too!
